A team from St Oswald’s CE Primary School in Mollington have had a run of colour in aid of a charity close to the school’s heart.
The 10-strong team, calling themselves the Rainbow Rockets, ran the Color Obstacle Rush in Liverpool in aid of the Emily Ffion Trust.
Mums Sara Sowden, Louise Thompson, Lisa Brocklehurst, Nia Brammer, Janet Joshua, Wendy Ellison, Gemma Dwyer and Michelle Adams were joined by teenagers Hallie Brammer and Issy Ehlen to complete the 5k run at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday, September 26.
Event organisers describe the Color Obstacle Rush as ‘a unique event combining the fun of color powdered runs and the thrill and excitement of an obstacle course'.
The team have so far raised £355 for the charity which was set up by fellow St Oswald’s parents Sara and John Sowden, following the death of their daughter Emily.
The trust, including Emily’s auntie and uncle Nia and Dave Brammer, which has raised in excess of £80,000 since it was set up just over a year ago supports suddenly bereaved families through the unexpected loss of a child.
