A new cycling shop is about to open in Chester.

Go Outdoors will be bringing its new cycling concept store to the city next week within its existing outlet on the Saltney Retail Park in River Lane.

The store will offer shoppers all of the equipment they could ever need for cycling, stocking everything from adult and children’s bikes to helmets and essential cycling accessories.

The Chester branch will be staffed by a trained and knowledgeable local team of cycling enthusiasts.

Barry Dunn, head of cycling at Go Outdoors, said: “Thanks to the new department opening, we’ll have the opportunity to bring expertise, passion and most importantly fantastic cycling equipment at great prices to Chester.

“From our own award-winning bikes to famed brands including Orbea and Ghost, our range,with a wide offering of clothing and accessories, is set to equip locals with all the cycling equipment they could possibly desire whether they are starting out in cycling or an avid fan.

Works starts on preparing the new store for business next Monday and it is hoped it will be open to the public over the bank holiday weekend.

The Chester opening comes as part of a bigger company plan to roll-out cycling departments in stores across the UK.

Significant investment into the sector has enabled Go Outdoors to create cycling departments across the country. The new concept store expansion plan will create 120 jobs throughout the UK.
