Families could soon be bouncing off the walls at a trampoline park between Chester and Ellesmere Port.

Foam pits and a basketball court are included as Flip Out Chester aims to create one of the largest trampoline arenas in the world.

They say a £2m investment would allow them to open the 53,000 sq ft trampoline area and create 100 jobs.

Flip Out have secured a site at the Chester Gates Business Park in Dunkirk and a planning application has been submitted.

Flip Out Stoke and Chester director Matthew Melling said: “We can’t wait to bring Flip Out to Chester.

“We’ve acquired a great site that we believe will become the world’s biggest trampoline park site based on its combination of indoor and outdoor space.

“It’s going to be twice as big as our arena in Staffordshire - with giant foam pits, wall to wall trampolines, basketball slam dunk court, an under 7s area and a café and viewing gallery, as well as a few surprises we have up our sleeves.

“Outside there will be more than 150 free parking spaces – something we know is massively important to our visitors.”

Trampoline parks have been growing in popularity across the world with a similar, albeit smaller arena also in the works in Deeside.

Flip Out Stoke was the first Flip Out centre to open in the UK, attracting more than 150,000 visitors in the first four months.

Matthew said: “The whole idea behind Flip Out is that it is a fun, exciting leisure venue where people of all ages are welcome and where families can come together in a way that the parents can enjoy as much as the kids.

The new trampoline park will provide 'fun for all ages'

“Parents and grandparents enjoy coming along for a bounce with the children, or those who aren’t so active enjoy spending time in our chilled out café and viewing area while the kids bounce.

“Our after dark sessions are really popular with teens who desperately need somewhere fun and safe to go in the evenings – they really enjoy the music and lasers after dark.”
