A Chester bar will help people get fit for the summer by inviting them to the barre.

The Botanist, on St Werburgh Street is offering the chance to sample the new fitness trend Barre at the bar.

The restaurant and bar has partnered with Chester based Dance Dynamics to host a Barre Concept class at The Botanist’s bar, making getting fit that little bit easier.

The concept has already proven to be popular in other cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.

Barre Concept is a unique workout which combines the elements of Pilates, yoga and ballet into a regime performed at a ballet barre, or in this case the Botanist’s bar.

Business development manager at The Botanist Chester Tamara Johnson said: “We have already held a few classes and they’re proving to be popular with the local residents. We’re thrilled Laura from Dance Dynamics wanted to teach the class as Barre Concept is a great way to work out and it ties in wonderfully to our bar.”

Tickets for the next fitness event (May 22) cost £15 and include the one-hour fitness class as well as one of The Botanist’s freshly pressed cool down mocktail.
