A FLINTSHIRE pub has been named as the best in Wales for food.
We Three Loggerheads in Gwernymynydd, took the regional title of Best Food Pub in the Best British Pub competition.
It also won the title of the Best Freehouse in Wales.
The awards, run by trade magazine The Morning Advertizer recognise the most outstanding pubs across the country.
Lynda Wyatt, owner of the pub, said: "We are absolutely delighted. It is quite an achievement and we are proud of both awards.
"The Best Freehouse in Wales is particularly important to us as we really do try to support local suppliers and Welsh businesses.
"We use local butchers for our meat and our milk, dairy and cheese is all from local suppliers.
"I think this appeals to our customers. They like to see us actively supporting the local economy."
Lynda will attend an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in London with her husband Paul next month.
"We are excited to pick up the awards that we have already won. It would also be nice if we took the national award in either or both of the categories home with us."
