A popular restaurant on Chester’s riverside has been officially recognised for making one of the country’s top 10 burgers.
The popular XXXL Roadhouse Burger at Hickorys Smokehouse, has been named in a national poll carried out by reservation specialists Open Table.
The team have clocked up thousands of miles on their invaluable research trips across the Southern States of America to create the super-tasty burger.
The award-winning patty is made from a unique combination of aged brisket trim and chuck steak with simple seasoning whilst the finished article is stacked with a mix of authentic Hickory’s goodies including Cajun style onion rings, barbecue pulled pork, crispy smoked bacon, American cheese, salad, pickles and their special ‘secret recipe’ burger sauce.
Owner Jason Bligh said: ‘This is a fantastic honour. The Roadhouse Burger is one of our most popular dishes and we are just delighted with the fact that our amazing guests have taken the time to vote for us. We are looking forward to a packed few months here at Hickorys Smokehouse with exciting plans afoot for Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course our favourite holiday of all, Christmas.’
