MBNA Chester Music Festival returns for one night only on Friday, July 10.

After a successful 11 day festival in June, the MBNA Chester Music Festival is set to return for one more night.

Chester Cathedral will host the Manchester Camerata orchestra with the Chester Festival Chorus for a grand performance of Joseph Haydn’s epic oratorio The Creation.

With more than 100 in the chorus and world class soloists Sarah Fox (soprano), David Butt Philip (tenor) and Matthew Hargreaves (bass), under conductor James Burton, it promises to be an impressive and uplifting concert.

Clark Rundell, the musical director of the MBNA Chester Music Festival, said: “The sublime sound of over a hundred voices and full orchestra singing and playing at full tilt is an unforgettable experience that is literally spine-tingling!

“This will be a wonderful night of top quality music-making and a marvellous opportunity to hear this great piece of music in an epic setting.”

This gala concert will be in the Nave of the Cathedral and will start at 8pm. Some tickets are still available at chestermusicfestival.co.uk, by phone on 0845 241 7868 (10% fee applies) or in person at the Visitor Information Centre, next to Chester Town Hall.
