Organisers said they were already hoping to back up the ‘brilliant’ success of the show with another event later in the year.
Problem Child, Bloodstone Jack, Awaker and The Texas Flood all took to the stage at The Eccies last Saturday (April 16).
A total of £255 raised from the gig will go to mental health charity Mind.
The event was organised by The Eccies manager Chloe Cormack and her friend Ed Brereton, who share a passion for rock music.
Chloe said:“It was brilliant. It was great to see so many people turn out to support the show and Mind as well.
“People in Helsby are still talking about it and I’m really pleased. I think it will inspire more events like it to raise money.
“It was a stressful day for me, but I was relieved when it all came off. All the bands put on a great show too.”
Chloe added the success of the first ever Helsfest meant they were already looking to the future.
She said:“We’ve already set a date for the next one. We are going to it again on October 29 for Halloween.
“We want to do it regularly and attract bigger bands to make Helsfest bigger and better each time.”
Chloe and Ed also organised food, stalls and a raffle as well as free camping for guests, all with tickets costing just £5.
