Ska band The Specials are bringing their latest UK tour to a venue near you.
The legendary 2 Tone band have scheduled dates at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on October 31 and Liverpool Olympia on October 29.
It will be the band’s first UK tour for two years and their first live dates since the death of drummer John “Brad” Bradbury, who died in December aged 62.
Vocalist Terry Hall said: “We started working on these dates last October. Everyone was really looking forward to them and then just after Christmas Brad passed away.
“It was devastating but in our heart of hearts we know he would want us to continue with the plan he helped to put together.”
Also known as The Specials AKA, The Specials were pioneers of the 2 tone and ska revival scene in the late 1970s. Their biggest singles include number one hits Too Much Too Young and Ghost Town, and Free Nelson Mandela.
The band split in 1984 as core members left for other projects and it was almost a quarter-century before they reformed in 2008 and headed out on a 30th anniversary tour a year later.
Tickets for the gigs cost £45.20 (including booking fee) and go on sale this Friday (February 26) at 9am. Tickets can only be booked online here
