The Hitman Blues Band are appearing at Alexander’s, Chester, on Thursday, June 30, promoting their new CD ‘The World Moves On’.

Blues Matters magazine wrote: “Born to play and with real personality, as he tells stories, jokes with the crowd, proudly features his excellent band and plays a spiky guitar with great panache and soul. What a find, you may think – and you’d be right.”

Blues Revue USA said: “The Hitman Blues Band delivers an energetic style of blues. Russell ‘Hitman’ Alexander plays sharp, melodic lead guitar and adds tough slide... strong singing and precision play.”

UK magazine Blues in Britain adds: “Russell Alexander proved to be a consummate artist, combining superb vocals with amusing patter and captivating stage presence.”
