PRAY FOR MICHAEL SULLIVAN
Every father is a hero to his son.
WE have a real treat for you this week as two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump, Philadelphia) heads the cast of the drama Road to Perdition, the second feature from Academy Award-winning director Sam Mendes (American Beauty).
Thanks to our chums at the Odeon Multiplex, Brombrough, Wirral, we have five pairs of tickets to give away to five lucky winners to see this amazing tale of love, betrayal, loss, redemption and revenge.
Hanks stars as Michael Sullivan, the trusted enforcer for an Irish gang in the Depression-era Midwest. But, despite his best attempts to keep the two separate, his work crosses into his private life, leading to an awful personal tragedy.
Sullivan and his eldest son, Michael (Tyler Hoechlin), set out on a journey of retribution and redemption.
In literal terms, Perdition is the name of the town to which Michael Sullivan and his son are heading towards. But it is also a euphemism for the road to Hell, which Sullivan prays that unlike him, he can keep his son from travelling.
Road to Perdition also stars Hollywood screen legend Paul Newman, the very talented Jude Law (AI, The Talented Mr Ripley), Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (Mrs Parker and the Vicious Circle, Dolores Claiborne), Chester born actor Daniel Craig (Elizabeth, I Dreamed of Africa), Emmy and Golden Globe winner Stanley Tucci (Winchell, Conspiracy), newcomer Tyler Hoechlin.
For your chance to win a pair of tickets to see the movie, all you have to do is answer the following easy question:
This competition has now closed. The answer to the question was: Who was Tom Hanks trying to save in Steven Spielberg's WWII drama?
c) Private Ryan
