A Chester based dance company, which aims to transform the lives of people struggling with addiction, has begun a new two-year project with funding from People’s Health Trust.
Fallen angels Dance Theatre will celebrate the start of the Bags and Boxes Building Recovery project with a performance hosted by 3rd Space at St Peter's Church at the Cross in Chester City Centre on Friday, December 11.
Charity manager of Fallen Angels Claire Morris said: “We are over the moon that we will be connecting more and more with the local people in Chester. The group hopes that by performing for the local community they will raise awareness of their activity and that the stigma which surrounds addiction and recovery will begin to slowly dissipate, and more understanding can lead to greater community cohesion.”
The group is looking to create new partnerships within the community and can offer workshops and performances during the two years.
