CANOEING: CHESTER paddlers won plenty of medals when they represented Great Britain at an international event.
Jenny Swallow was Chester Sailing and Canoeing Club's biggest winner at the Sobeka International Flanders Eural Cup Regatta in Belgium, claiming three bronzes.
She finished third in the K1 100m race for Under 14s, while clubmate Caroline Rowlands was sixth.
The pair teamed up for the K2 500m event and finished third in the eight-boat final.
For the K4 500m race, Jenny and Caroline were joined by Emily Clark and Rosie Farrington from the Royal Canoe Club in London and they went on to finish third.
Chester's Melvin Swallow, competing in the veterans' class, qualified for the final in the 500m and 1,000m race and finished second in both events.
The competition drew in paddlers from Hungary, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands and Russia.
