KEVIN Cooke was top rod in Sunday's Lobol AC match on the arena pool on the Cudmore Fishery.

He took carp, barbel and bream to net a superb 50-8-0 to edge out George Edwards with 47-2-0.

Winner of the club's match last Wednesday on the Priory pool was Danny Boothroyd who took 11-4-0 to beat Linda Cooke with a mixed 6-1-0.

Paul Langley (38-0-0) stole the show when the Castrol SAS fished out of Aberdovey while Ellesmere Port's Mark Greasley (5-12-0) topped in the Cheshire Police AC match on the River Mersey at Warrington.

In Saturday's Lingmere Fishery open match, Jamie Swain claimed victory with carp and chub to weigh 38-14-0 while Billy Mason (29-9-0) took the honours when the Neston match anglers fished on beech pool at their local Burton Mere Fishery.

The day went to Harry Gittins in the Rivacre AC match on the Trent and Mersey Canal at Duttons sticks. Harry took 6-11-0 to fight off Keith Bailey with roach for 5-0-0.

Rod n Reel's Rob Denny landed second place in the Sunday evening open match at the Hampton Springs Fishery. Drawn on rock pool, Rob took mainly carp to weigh in 92-4-0.

Ellesmere Port members were up front in the midweek Manley AC match on the Old Farm Pool. Top rod was John Bristow with carp and tench weighing 25-8-0 followed by Steve Roxburgh with 24-0-0 of the same.

Roxburgh then went on to win Saturday's Iceland Foods AC match on the same venue. He took carp and tench for a winning 23-0-0 to beat off the challenge of John Dodd with 3-8-0.

Neil Bristow took the lead in the Caldy AC match on the Lloyd's Meadow Fishery. He finished the day with carp, bream and roach to weigh 45-9-0 closely followed by Paul Robinson with a carp-based 45-7-0 up front of Rob Winstanley with likewise to make 41-10-0.

Graham Knox reeled in first when the Capenhurst Flyfishers fished their match from the banks on Llyn Brenig. He ended with five rainbows weighing 7-9-0. Dave Batchelor took second with three rainbows for a total of 7-8-8 while Brian Ritchie (6-3-0) took third place.
