MEMBERS of Chester Triathlon Club and Tattenhall Runners took to the fells and roads of North Wales over the weekend.
Peter Brook was second, in one hour, 17 minutes and 45 seconds, and Rob Grantham (1.18:36) third at the Penmaenmawr Fell Race.
They were followed by Tri clubmates Kenny Begley (1.26:20), Simon Oliver (1.27:22), Julian Clarke (1.33:30), Andy Howarth (1.33:57), Kirsty Seddon (1.35:27) Jan Rogers (1.40:26), Si McAllister (1.46:55), Dave Taylor (1.51:28), Cara Fishburn (1.55:04), Ciara Murphy (2.20:55) and Nania Mason (2.21:36).
Seddon was the third female home while Rogers was second in her age group.
Simon Ellis (27th in 1.27) and Charlie Eldred (132nd 1.54) represented Tattenhall at Wales’ oldest fell race.
Tim Charmley spearheaded Tattenhall’s charge at the Conwy Half Marathon, crossing the finishing line in 1.36 and pushed all the way by Kit Ebben (1.39) and Mike McCorkell (1.40).
Amanda Davies (1.44) was the first Tattenhall lady home, ahead of Rob Webster (1.45), Alison Smith (1.49) and Laura Ashford (1.59), while Jen Chambers made a welcome return to the distance, finishing in 2.05.
Lisa Grantham (1.28:07) was Tri’s fastest finisher and the third women overall, with Rob Jones (1.32:36), Colin Minshull (1.35:11), Chris Hulse (1.38:29), Jacob Bentley (1.46:23) and Bethan Maggs (1.46:23) leading the rest of the club’s contingent.
