SWIMMING: NORTHWICH ASC swimmers continued their good form on Saturday, maintaining top spot in the Gala Two Speedo Minor Division - and look odds-on to clinch the title next month.
They won 11 individual events and five relays on Saturday night, with Katie Burrows continuing to impress, winning two individual events in her age group and securing second spot in the 15-years event.
Club captain James Smith led by example, winning two events in the open-age group, while Matthew Tasker won the butterfly and backstroke.
Other individual winners were Lydia Woodward, Edward Reid, Michael Parker, Hannah Evans and Emily Illot.
The relay wins came in the nine to 11 free-style and medley races, 15-years freestyle and medley relays and Open freestyle race.
Northwich now go into the final gala in December as favourites to retain their title. Northwich will compete in the final gala of the Deva League season in Chester on Sunday afternoon.
They are currently sitting in second spot, having been promoted to the premier division last season. For more details of the club, visit www.northwich-asc.co.uk
