ATHLETICS: Chester triathlete Helen Lawrence achieves the dream of a lifetime this weekend when she runs alongside the great Paula Radcliffe in Japan.
Helen, 26, a member of Chester Tri Club, makes her Great Britain debut in the Chiba Ekden Relays, running the 7.4k final leg having impressed at the National Road Relays at Sutton Park recently.
The Wirral AC athlete said: 'I hoped I might one day make a British team either as a runner or a triathlete, but for it to come so soon and to be in the same team as Paula Radcliffe is fantastic.
'When I first started running, I didn't think for one minute I would ever become an international, but I have had a good year on the roads.'
Helen ran in the Gothenburg Half Marathon in Sweden for England and is also a past winner of the Chester Half Marathon, as well as shorter races in the area.
