HOCKEY: CHESTER Ladies clinched promotion to the National League in style on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over local rivals Deeside Ramblers at Upton.
Early control by Chester enabled them to set the pace. They raced into a 2-0 lead with a Kim Youdan double, only for Ramblers to peg one back just before the break.
Chester rose to the challenge in the second half and secured their victory with two skilfully-executed shots from skipper Michelle Daltry.
Chester travelled to Staines on Sunday morning in the quarterfinals of the All-England Plate, only to lose 2-1.
