VAUXHALL Motors will hope to shake off the ring rust with two away games in three days.
The Rivacre Park outfit have not played since they beat Stafford Rangers two weeks ago to stretch their unbeaten Blue Square North run to seven games.
Motors lost a second successive match to the wintry weather on Saturday when the visit of Corby Town was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
Boss Carl Macauley and his in-form players will have their fingers then that this Saturday’s trip to Gainsborough Trinity – managed by former Tranmere Rovers and Wrexham boss Brian Little – gets the go-ahead (3pm).
Vauxhall hit the road again on Monday when they travel to another team lower than them in the standings in Worcester City (3pm).
The match will be called off, however, if Worcester’s FA Trophy tie against Northwich Victoria on Saturday ends in a draw as a replay would be required for midweek.
Every match involving Ellesmere Port and district Saturday and Sunday football teams were called off at the weekend because of the big freeze.
