BARRY Cooper fired 15 and 16-darters for Commercial, but the side were still knocked off the summit of the Carlsberg UK Open League darts Premier Division.

The on-form marksman also cracked a 180 in a super solo performance which helped his side salvage a 4-4 draw, after earlier trailing 4-1 at Vine A.

But a share of the spoils was not enough to keep them on top, as Pioneers and Delamere delivered whitewashes to hosts Flying Lady A and Raven A.

Pioneer's hotshot John Speed hit 14 and 16 dart legs, after opponent Tony Pogonowski had managed an 18-darter. Pi's skipper Pete Boughey hit a brace of 16-darters and a 180, and teammate Ricky Busteed won two out of the three 17-dart legs in a keen contest with home skipper Jules Wilde, while

Tony Richardson hammered two 180s during the win.

Delamere's Graham Arrowsmith got a 121 kill and Steve Hassall registered maximum. Rockwood's Damien Weaver and Andy Cooke (Hawk) both hit 180s in respective 17 and 18 dart legs to help their teams to 5-3 victories at British Lion B and Belle Vue. Pete Galloway (Hawk) hit an 18-darter.

Hop Pole now lead Division One after a 7-1 thrashing of Amalgamated B. Dave Coyne (Hop Pole) and Steve Harrison (Leisure Club) hit respective 18 and 19 dart legs, Steve Thelwell (ASLEF Leisure) got a 103 checkout and 180s came from Mark Woolrich (Amalgamated A) and John Knibbs (British Lion A).

Division Two newcomers Horse Shoe and Cheshire Cheese maintained their hot pace with respective 5-3 and 6-2 wins over LMR Sports A and Flying Lady B. Steve Lawton (Cheese) hit a 180.

Division Three top pair Queen's Park GC and Cosey Club retained unblemished records with 5-3 wins over Sydney Arms and Nags Head A. Mick Minshull (Nags Head A) won in 17 darts, and Antony Broadhurst (Brunel) hit a 132 checkout, while Keith Fulham (Cosey Club) fired a 180.

Division Four top two LMR Sports B and Captain Webb gained 6-2 wins at the expense of West End Band B and Polish Club. The remaining three matches ended all square. Andrew Brereton (Webb) won with a 16-darter that included a 180.

West End Band A's 5-3 success at Prince of Wales made them the only winning team in Division Five, with all other games drawn.

In dominoes, Premier Division leaders Delamere opened up a three points lead after annihilating Raven A 7-1 win. Flying Lady B beat Pioneers Club 5-3.

Division One pacemakers Nantwich Road Club's draw at ASLEF Leisure was enough to keep them one point clear of the two Amalgamated teams.

Division Two's new leaders are Flying Lady B after their 6-2 win relieved Cheshire Cheese of their 100% record and demoted them to fourth.

Division Three toppers Nags Head A beat Cosey Club 5-3 to become the only dominoes team with a perfect record.

Division Four has Foresters Arms and Liberal Club C sharing top spot, while White Lion (Copp) A are two points clear at the top of Division Five.
