FIFTEEN West Cheshire AC youngsters have earned county call-ups.
The Chester and Ellesmere Port-based club will be sending a sizeable contingent to the North West Regional Sportshall Championships at Robin Park, Wigan, this Sunday.
The 15 juniors will be joining forces to represent Cheshire against teams from Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cumbria.
West Cheshire AC members selected for the Wigan fixture include under 13 boys Michael Willis, Joseph O'Riordan, Sam Pierre-Louis, and Stephen Jones, and U13 girls squad members Leah Ferrie, Alice Jennings, Abbie Noble and Joanne Hope.
Representing Cheshire in the U15 boys ranks will be Michael Lyness, Matthew Pratt and Aamir Walwyn, while U15 girls representing the county will include Laura Stott, Sarah Radcliff, Sam Galley and Abbie Kirk.
The 15 West Cheshire AC members will also be preparing to represent their club in the North West Sportshall League Finals, scheduled to take place at Robin Park on Sunday, March 18.
West Cheshire AC will have all six age group teams represented at Wigan on that day after compiling a sufficient number of points to qualify for the end-of-season finals after four round-robin league matches.
The club's U11 boys, U13 boys and U15 boys will all start the finals day among the pre-event favourites, while West Cheshire's three girls teams face stiff competition in their bid to claim places in the frame.
* Six members of West Cheshire AC completed the Wrexham Half Marathon.
Andy Hickmott was first home for the club, finishing 98th in 86 minutes 58 seconds, ahead of Barry Gardner (149th in 91:00), Tony Kennedy (181st in 93:50), Brian Beattie (211th in 96:16), Alan Cooper (369th in 109:18) and Tony Thackray (431st in 117:28).
* Entrants for this year's London Marathon are being invited along to West Cheshire AC training session runs from Cheshire County Sports Club, Upton, Chester, on Tuesdays at 6.30pm, from the club entrance.
* West Cheshire AC will be competing in this season's Cheshire Track and Field League campaign.
The league will start for the club with a match at Stockport's Woodbank Park on Sunday, April 22, followed by a second round match at Salford on Sunday, June 10; a third round contest at Deeside on Sunday, August 12; and the final round to be hosted by West Cheshire at Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port, on Sunday, September 2.
