ANGLING: MOST of the area's top carp waters have been closed due to a virus which is killing lots of the fish as well as some bream and a handful of pike.
Winsford AA have been hit worst with the Top Flash and the National pool losing most of its fish - both waters are closed until further notice, as is Lymmvale, Belmont Complex, Whitley Pool, Petty Pool, Big Billinge and Warrington's Sandiway Lakes.
Subject to tests by the Environment Agency, they should know the answer. Until then, all these waters and maybe more will stay closed.
