WESTMINSTER Park’s Johnny Olsen bagged a hat-trick to give his side a 3-1 win over Princes Villa in the under 11s section.
To make it a day to remember, he was also named man-of-the-match.
Villa took an early lead but Park pulled it back before seizing control in the second half.
Upton beat Boughton 4-2 at home. MoM Luke Sawney and Steve Rimmer scored for Boughton to draw them level, but five minutes from time Upton snatched two quickfire goals to win.
Blacon Youth won 9-1 at home to Hope Farm and Waverton Bees drew 2-2 with Hoole Hornets.
In the U12s Division, Boughton edged a thrilling game 4-3 at Waverton Wasps thanks to the goal machine Charlie Jones. Matt Sheen, Matt Simpson and MoM Will Doerr all found the net for the Wasps but four goals from Jones gave Boughton the points.
Hope Farm Hotspurs narrowly defeated Princes Villa 4-3.
Newton Athletic fell 9-2 at home to Castrol Athletic in the U13s section. Newton took the lead with a goal from Chris Kelsey, only to see Castrol score six. The second half saw another goal for Newton, from Gerard Blythin, but again Castrol showed their strength with a further three goals.
Saughall Colts also won 9-2 at home against Westminster Park. New signing Luke Hitchman got a hat-trick on his debut and MoM Sam Davies scored four. Aaron Eamond and Yuseph Bakir were also on target.
Malpas and District slipped to a 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Castrol Celtic. Malpas MoM was Finn Abberton.
Princes Villa overcame very wet conditions to beat visitors Upton 5-1. The hosts led early on but Upton equalised through a half-volley from Tom Chaloner. Villa edged ahead against the run of play, however, and drew confidence from their lead to win comfortably.
Park Saints scraped a 2-1 victory over a competitive Westminster Park in their top-of-the-table clash. Goals from Joe Williams and Patrick Burke ensured the hosts retained the points, although Jacob Russell’s goal for Waverton kept the game balanced on a knife edge until the final whistle. MoM was Matt Hulse.
The U14s Duke of Westminster Cup matched up Saughall Colts and Princes Villa, and it was hosts Colts who came out on top with a 3-0 win. MoM Guy Byrne struck twice and Matty Taylor once. Villa’s MoM was Dan Kibbey.
Blacon Youth Whites travelled to Upton South in the U15s division and won 3-0.
In the U16s section, Christleton New Scene drew 1-1 at home to Parkgate.
