CASTROL were rampant in the Olympic Trophies Division as they beat Chester Nomads Colts away from home.
Castrol played well while the Colts had an off day. By half-time the Oilmen were 3-0 up. Ben Johnson scored as Nomads briefly threatened a comeback but Castrol maintained their momentum and broke away to finish 6-1 winners.
For Nomads, man of the match was defender-turned-striker Kayode Famoriyo. Charlie Derbyshire did well in goal in place of injured first-choice Craig Lawrence.
In Division Two, Pulford fell 2-1 to Westminster Park Panthers. A fast competitive game by both sides saw the visitors take an early lead, Sean Brown netting from eight yards out.
Pulford got back into it with a well taken goal and pressed hard, but a penalty miss would prove costly as Park’s top scorer and MoM Liam Plevin kept a cool head to score an excellent winner towards the end.
Chester Nomads’ 10-0 victory over Whitby Rangers saw nine different players on the scoresheet. Tom Chrimes, Sam Roscoe, Zak Goodall, Craig Graham, Ben Collins, George Mayo, Harry Kiloran, Kyle Stoddart and Charlie Mann all registered strikes in the win.
Nomads would have scored more but for a determined display from the Rangers keeper but the constant pressure meant goals were inevitable.
