TWO spectacular efforts from Callum Parry set Christleton Newscene on their way to a 9-0 Chester & District Junior League Under 16s Division One victory at Upton North on Sunday.

Sam Burgess, Zak Threadgold, Jordan Hampshire, Callum Jones, Ben Keable, Tommy Harries and Ryan Crofts shared the rest of the strikes.

Upton South moved three points clear at the top with 3-2 home win over Castrol Athletic.

Runaway Division Two leaders Newton Athletic saw their 100% winning record come to an end at the hands of Elton Youth.

Inspired by man of the match Joseph Smith, Elton secured a 1-1 draw with Shaun Bailiff getting their goal. Chris Edwards was on target for Newton.

Jye Findlay and Alex Hyland could not stop JFC Boughton from going down 7-2 at home to Princes Villa U17s in the second round of the Cheshire Youth Cup.

Saughall Colts broke their Under 15s Division One duck by edging an absorbing contest at home to Park Saints 4-2 on Sunday.

Jeff Norris (2), George Carroll and Chris Taggart struck for Saughall, for whom outstanding goalkeeper Danny Youde was man of the match. Full-backs Robert Nicholson and Liam Elsden also impressed.

JFC Boughton pulled three points clear at the summit of Division Two by winning their big clash at previously-unbeaten Hope Farm Hotspurs 5-2.

Joe Williams (2), Liam Blake, Lewis Donovan and Sion Brisbane maintained Boughton’s perfect start.

Newton Athletic Eagles won 3-2 at Chester Nomads but Blacon Youth lost 9-3 at home to Rossway United.

Waverton kept the pressure on unbeaten Under 14s Division pacesetters Saughall Colts with a 3-2 win over Westminster Park on Sunday.

Jack Peak, Tom Richardson and Matt McCelland netted for the hosts with Scott Smith and Michael Jones taking Park close.

Saughall remain the team to beat after they produced an awesome display to triumph 4-2 at Castrol Celtic with goals from man of the match Luke Beaumont (2), Sam Davies and Dean Houston.

Malpas avenge loss

REVENGE was sweet for Malpas & District as they won 2-0 at home to Chester Nomads in Under 13s Division One on Sunday.

Having tasted defeat to the same opponents a week earlier, Malpas bounced back in style with a Joel Nevitt penalty and a screamer from captain Jack Flaherty. Tom Hayton impressed in midfield for the hosts but it was defensive rock Nathan Edwards who took their man of the match honours.

A four-goal blast from Kieran Carney ensured Division Two table toppers Vicars Cross Dynamos edged a thriller at home to Princes Villa 5-4. Joe Wainwright completed the scoring for Dynamos, for whom Liam Harrison was MoM.

Westminster Park remain six points off the pace after they romped to an 8-1 victory at home to Hope Farm Rangers. Chris McCartney (4) did most of the damage but his tremendous display was eclipsed by that of creator-in-chief Alex Halliwell-Dykes. The star man helped himself to a goal, as did Jay Gilmartin (2) and Daniel Wallace. Hope’s stand-out performer, Laurence Price, reduced the deficit from the penalty spot.

Upton drew 0-0 at home to Pulford.

JFC Boughton booked their place in the fourth round of the Cheshire Minor Cup with a 6-1 home success over Congleton Rovers.

Nomads’ late show

LATE goals from George Back and Robinson earned Chester Nomads a vital 4-2 victory at home to Castrol Athletic in Under 12s Division One on Sunday.

Second-placed Nomads, for whom Keiron Brown was man of the match, had led through Harvey France and Robinson before Castrol fought back.

Table-topping Upton won 5-2 at home to Waverton Wasps while third-placed Blacon Youth Club drew 1-1 at JFC Boughton (Cameron Gardner).

Saughall Colts lost 2-1 at home to Hope Farm Rangers in Division Two.

Newton Athletic are the new leaders of Under 11s Division One on Sunday.

They won 9-2 at home to Castrol Athletic with strikes from Will Hannigan, Tom Ashman, Marc Hardman, Zach Holmes, Corey Jones, Joe Johnson, Thomas Norbury and Ryan Jones.

Malpas & District were 3-2 winners at home to JFC Boughton, for whom Kyle Cooper and Jordan Lee scored and for whom Andrew Bewlety was named man of the match.

Upton stormed to a 9-0 home victory over Newton Athletic Eagles in Division Two.

Westminster Park, driven on by MoM Luke Owen and with goals from Ben Russell and Mohamed Saleh, won 4-2 at home to Waverton Wasps.

MoM Joe Polding (2) fired pacesetters Chester Nomads Colts to a 2-1 triumph at Vicars Cross Dynamos.
