UPTON Panthers produced one of their best performances of the Chester & District Junior League Under 10s Blue Division season on Saturday.

The Panthers, inspired by man-of-the-match Jamie Denan, ran out 4-1 victors at Groves Rangers with goals from Joe Walsh (2) , George Cornes and Jamie Cheng.

Christleton Newscene were 9-0 winners at home to Waverton Jets.

Blacon Youth Tigers won their big Red Division clash at Chester Nomads 2-0 despite the best efforts of the home team’s MoM Jack Breakwell.

Newton Athletic Eagles were beaten 4-2 at Porto Panthers.

Westminster Park lost 6-0 at home to Ellesmere Port Rovers in the Green Division.

Matthew Vickers (3), MoM Zac Hall (2) and James McKinnon shared the strikes for the title challengers.

Joseph Turton turned in a MoM display but Helsby still went down 6-0 at home to a strong Groves Athletic side in the Yellow Division.

Westminster Park enjoyed a 7-0 success at home to Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts in the Under 9s Yellow Division with goals from man-of-the-match Joe McGuire (2), Ben Marsland, James Beaton, Hannah Snape and Rhys Harrison.

MoM Jack Redford, Mark Bradley and Callum Auden impressed for Saughall Colts in their 5-0 defeat at Princes Villa (Macauley Churchill 2, Leo Pimblett, Mason Littler, Reece Flood).
