CHESTER CITY manager Mark Wright is expecting a busy time this week as he continues to add players to his squad for the forthcoming season.
"I have had numerous discussions with players that I have targeted and their respective agents, and hopefully a number of those negotiations will come to fruition this week," Wright said.
"This is always an extremely busy period for football managers, as we identify and then hopefully sign the type of player who will fit into the systems we want to play during the forthcoming campaign."
Wright has already captured the signatures of a number of players in the past month, including defender Graham Allen, striker Drewe Broughton and midfielder Laurence Wilson from Everton.
The City manager is hopeful of completing the signings of at least four more players this week which include a striker, and two defenders.
Chester's reserve side will play in the Pontin's League (West) Division again next season. There will be 11 teams in the league which include newcomers Manchester City Reserves, as well as Tranmere Rovers and Wrexham's second teams.
Meanwhile, City have finalised another lucrative sponsorship deal for the forthcoming season. Sekur Mortgages have linked up with the Deva Stadium outfit, and their companies logos will be utilised on the backs of the club's shirts, as well as on the players' shorts.
