UPTON registered an impressive 10-1 win over Vicars Cross Dynamos to clinch the Under 14s title.

Goals were shared between Chris Hibbert, Matty Hayes, Jake Davies, Niall Peaker, Euan Oates and Shaun Davies.

Bretton Super Saints claimed a 3-2 win over Blacon Youth in a dress rehearsal for Sunday's U14s cup final.

Blacon's scorers were Damien Rowley and Jacob Pryce, while on target for Bretton were Laurence Angel (2) and Matthew Artell.

AFC Waverton enjoyed a 3-1 win over Blacon Youth last Thursday, their goals going to Jack Johnson, Stephen Hall and Chris Carr.

Waverton came out on top when the teams met again on Sunday, claiming a 5-3 win courtesy of goals from Jeremy Stothard, Jack Johnson (3) and David Carter.

Blacon's scorers were Matthew Vickers, Adam Stenning and Adam Newell.

In the U15s league, St Werburgh's effectively ended Westminster Park's title aspirations with a 3-1 away win last Thursday.

Mike Vitelli, Andy Walker and Luke Chisholm netted for Saints, Dan Eaton for Park.

The two teams met again on Sunday with Saints needing another win to enhance their own chances of being runners up, but a 1-1 draw meant Westminster Park took second spot.

Dan Eaton's opener for Park was cancelled out by an equaliser for Saints from David Penlington.

Upton Blues signed off as champions in fine style with a 10-1 win over bottom club AFC Waverton.

Goals were shared between Rory Steven, Stuart Diamond, Josh Salisbury, Danny Fletcher, Justin Ryan, Chris Noden, Luke Finch and Steve Daley.

Upton clinched the U16s title last Thursday with a 2-0 away win against Newton Athletic. Upton secured a two-point margin over runners up Blacon Youth, who kept up the pressure to the last.

They beat Hope Farm 3-1 last week and on Sunday dispatched Westminster Park 6-1.

Goalscorers were Josh Armitage (2), Ben Connolly (2), Michael Sawney and Craig Chesworth.

MoM for Blacon was Jordan Price. Basement boys Saughall Colts thor-oughly deserved their first win of the season - a 4-2 home verdict against Tarvin Athletic with two goals from Andy Knight and two own goals.

In Sunday's other U16 game, Princess Villa took a 6-0 tumble at home to Newton Athletic.
