CENTRE-back Ashley Westwood will return to Chester to discuss his options this summer.
The defender faces an uncertain future with the Blues after being loaned to League Two promotion-chasers Swindon earlier this year.
Westwood, 30, was allowed to leave because he needed to move closer to home due to personal problems.
He still has a year left on his Chester contract but could be sold this summer.
City chairman Stephen Vaughan said: 'Ashley Westwood is the best centre-half in this division. He's been unsettled at Chester so we let him go to Swindon.
'We'll sit down with him in the summer and see what his intentions are. I would never stand in anyone's way if they are not happy but he's got a year left so we'll wait and see.'
