CHESTER Nomads 2nds sealed a good 2-1 win on Wednesday in their Premier Division clash at City Bar.
The game saw Jack Delgado and Peter Fitzpatrick open their accounts for Nomads and bring City Bar back down to earth following their 8-1 win at Newton Bears on Saturday.
Gary Didsbury’s goal for City Bar was not enough to prevent Nomads from taking the points.
Newton Bears recovered from their first-day mauling to beat Crossway 3-2 on Wednesday, goals from Nigel Williams and Leon McGovern (2) securing the points.
Sean Page and Jordan Smith found the net for Kelsall as they defeated visiting Tarvin Athletic 2-1, Adam Crimes’ goal keeping Tarvin honest until the end.
Waggon and Horses threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Highfield Athletic.
A long-range effort from Warren Roberts and a Gary Ellams strike put Waggon in command by half-time, but a comeback, led by goals from Chris Larson (2) and Lee Wheelan, meant Waggon needed a strike from Brad Mortimer to save a point.

Helsby were rampant in their derby against Frodsham United in Olympic Trophies Division One, running out 11-0 winners. Five from Mark Hobson built the foundation of the win.
Highfield Athletic 2nds outclassed Chester Nomads 3rds as they won 6-3 away from home. Peter Mort (2) and John Roberts hit the target for the hosts, but a brace each from Matty Cross and Jason Perry and goals from Stuart Davies and Danny Rose carried Highfield to victory.
In DevaWeb Services Division Two, Pensby beat Newton Reserves 4-2, while Chesterfest Division Three saw Manor Athletic draw at home with Willaston Vets 2-2.
