BOUVERIE Orient crushed St Theresa’s with ease in Concorde Trophies Section A on Sunday.
They ran out 9-1 winners after smashing six first-half goals. A hat-trick by James Green, braces from Lou Mackin and Barry Davies and single efforts by Dave Brown and Neil Fields put the Saints to bed.
Tarvin Rex were similarly dominant against Lache Athletic. Simon Roberts bagged two, joining Gordon Piggin, Adam Crimes and Tom Grindley on the scoresheet. Paul Davies scored for Lache, who went in at half-time level at 1-1.
Dee Rangers put up a good fight at Vicars Cross but, despite goals from Gaz Edwards, Mike Jeffs and Mike Costello, Rangers lost 4-3.
The Oak’s Steve McGunhenell and Matt Davies scored in their Chester Chronicle Section B clash at Bulls Head but it matters little as the hosts won 8-2.
Upton YC travelled to St Werburgh’s and triumphed 2-0.
In Financial Services Section C, Custom House inflicted a 9-0 drubbing on Grosvenor Celtic.
Three players scored twice – Anthony Shillingford, Dale Harris and Dave Fielding – and they were backed up by Richard Downes, Ryan Jones and Andros Borbely.
Greyhound edged a free-scoring match against Tattenhall 4-3 thanks to goals from Mike Bryant (2), Adam Gilmore and Lee Edwards.
Inter Barrow survived strikes from Ring O’ Bells’ Paul Broster and Carl Jenkins to win 3-2.
