MIDDLEWICH rattled up their 11th straight victory and returned to the top of the Mid Cheshire League.
Joey Roberts struck a first-half hat-trick to put them in the driving seat and Trafford hardly managed an attempt on goal.
Roberts volleyed home a Mike Sandbach cross after 10 minutes and then hooked in a nod down from the same player.
Just before the break the former Winsford United striker beat two men as he cut in from the left and scored again.
Sandbach got his reward for two assists when, midway through the second period, he charged through the Trafford de-fence and tucked the ball home.
* Witton Reserves gave up top spot when they were roundly beaten at Crosfield. Goalkeeper Brett Walker, first team Cheshire Senior Cup final hero, was on the receiving end in a 4-2 defeat.
* In the Reserves Division, Middlewich drew 1-1 at Poynton, while Lostock Gralam crashed out of the President's Cup - humiliated 3-0 at home by Pilkington Res.
Saturday: One - Greenall's Padgate v Barnton, Witton Res v Middlewich; Two - Lostock Gralam v Monk Sports; Reserves - Middlewich v Rylands.

* Barnton earned a place in the Mid Cheshire FA Challenge Cup final with a 5-0 victory over Winsford United Reserves.
'We were always a threat at set pieces. We were strong and won comfortably,' said manager Mark Came.

Substitute Tom Sneyd poked home the fourth and midfielder James Thomas completed the victory from close range.
