LIVERPOOL defender Daniel Agger was forced out of yesterday’s Carling Cup final with a broken rib.
But he said afterwards: “It doesn’t really matter now. We won and that’s the most important thing.
“It’s not my first medal, but it’s always nice to win.
“We need to push on now. That’s what it’s all about. That’s what we’re all working for every single day.
“We are still in the FA Cup as well, so we will have to push for that too.
“We are playing for trophies. That’s why we are at Liverpool Football Club.
“We’ve been in a final not long ago and it’s always sweet. I don’t think you can say it’s extra sweet because winning a medal is what you are training for.
“It’s football, isn’t it. So you never know what’s going to happen. We had to believe and now we’ve done it so we have to push on for more.”
