KENNY DALGLISH insists the upheaval at Liverpool won’t have any impact on his players ahead of tomorrow’s Wembley showdown with Everton.
The departure of director of football Damien Comolli was announced just two days before the FA Cup semi-final between the Merseyside rivals.
“I don’t think there’s anything that is going to get in the way of our preparations for the game,” Dalglish said.
“The players and staff are fully focused on it. Decisions are made every week about the running of the football club and it’s the owners’ prerogative to make those decisions.
“Unfortunately the guy has lost his job and that’s not a pleasant day for anybody but it won’t affect Saturday and nor would Damien want it to.
“The timing of this can’t be used as an excuse for us not be fully focused and prepared.”
Brad Jones will start in goal tomorrow after an appeal against Alexander Doni’s red card at Blackburn was rejected.
Martin Kelly, Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger have all been passed fit so Lucas Leiva is the only absentee.
