FORMER Liverpool striker Emile Heskey could be on the bench for Aston Villa’s clash at Anfield tonight after returning to training following his recovery from a knee problem.
But Houllier refuses to dwell on Villa’s lengthy list of players who have been absent through injury and illness since he took charge nearly three months ago.
He said: “We have been hit by injuries and illness and sickness and all sorts of things but I don’t want to complain.
“It happens. What we have to do is work harder, get together, maybe stick together, have a mentality of not giving up.”
Winger Ashley Young is ruled out through suspension after incurring five bookings this season while midfielder Barry Bannan is unlikely to be fit because of a groin injury.
