VAUXHALL Motors boss Carl Macauley has bolstered his team in defence and attack.
He has snapped up prolific striker Ashley Stott from Witton Albion and also brought in left-back Louis Barnes from Southport.
Stott, 24, has scored freely for a host of clubs, including Altrincham, Bangor City, Halifax, Hyde, Aberystwyth Town and New Mills. He has had two spells with Witton.
Macauley said: “Ash is a player who has been on my radar for some time. He has scored goals wherever he has been and I was very surprised that Witton decided to let him go. However, their loss is certainly our gain.”
Barnes had spells with Northwich Victoria and Marine before signing for Southport at the start of the season.
He has been drafted as a direct replacement for the long-serving Lee Dames, who has quit the club due to work commitments.
The Motormen were without a fixture at the weekend. They return to Blue Square Bet North action this Saturday with a trip to Stalybridge Celtic (3pm).
