ONLY two games went ahead in the Chester & District Premier Division as last Saturday saw three postponements.
Both games ended 2-0 to the hosts. Highfield Athletic went one up against Blacon YC A in the first half courtesy of Scott Broadbent. He added a second after the break, making the victory secure. Kydds Athletic had a similar victory against Hoole Rangers, with Peter Fitzpatrick and Adam Newbolt grabbing the goals.
Castrol Social's game against Waggon & Horses was postponed, along with Frodsham United against Chester Nomads 2nds and Tarvin 2000 Athletic's clash with Team Highfield.
Division One had the same predicament. Barrow Athletic's home game against Crossway was put on hold, as was Blacon YC Colts' meeting with AFC Bebington and Chester Nomads 3rds against Ashton Lions. Only one game went ahead which saw Cestrian Alex host Kelsall. The game was already decided by the break as the visitors went 4-1 up, despite Cestrian adding two more to finish up 5-3. Will Kelly got two and Adi Gough also netted, but it was not enough to match Kelsall's John Devonport (2), Andy Johnson (2) and Steve McCabe.
Parkgate took all the glory in Division Two as they walked over visitors Boughton Athletic 9-1. As if a 4-0 lead at half-time was not enough, the hosts came away with five names on the scoresheet in all. Karl Hare, Robert Cregeen and Patrick Sergeant each got one, while Danny Moore bagged a brace and Khalid-Al-Samarraie came away with four.
Rangers Breaks were unable to match Sutton Way Villa who went home with a 2-0 win. Runcorn Albion's home clash with Barrow Athletic 2nds ended with a closer scoreline. Albion went into the break with a 1-0 lead, and despite Barrow notching up an away goal, their hosts put the game beyond them to end 2-1 up. Howard Jones and Harry Wright took the glory and ensured the points for Runcorn.
Division Two suffered fewer postponements than the others, but Robin Hood's game at home to City Bar was also put on hold.
