ONE of Chester FC’s oldest fans has been honoured for his unwavering support.
Blues officials rolled out the red carpet for Albert Worrall, 90, after learning the stalwart has missed only two home matches in his 76 years of following the club.
Season-ticket holder Albert, his wife of 60 years Freda, son Stephen and grandsons Mark and Paul were specially-invited guests for Chester’s big pre-season friendly with Tranmere Rovers last Tuesday.
Freda, 81, who lives with her Blues-mad husband in Plas Newton, said: “The club could not have treated us better. We had a wonderful time.”
