Chester FC boss Jon McCarthy says he is happy with the squad he has assembled but hinted that another addition may yet arrive at the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium.
McCarthy has brought in seven new signings to the club during the summer and the Blues squad currently stands at 20 ahead of Saturday's trip to Gateshead for the National League season opener.
But the Chester boss says there is still room in the budget to bring on board a loan player if the right one becomes available.
He said: "I'm happy (with the squad) and I've been fully supported by the board on a lot of changes that we want to do so I couldn't be happier with the 20 that I've got.
"There is still some support from the board if there was loan signings that we could do so there maybe something we could do but I'm happy to go with that 20 and if something did materialise then we will try and do something with that."
With just three out-and-out strikers at his disposal in the shape of James Alabi, Kane Richards and James Akintunde, McCarthy could yet add another striker to the ranks on a temporary basis to add to his attacking firepower.
The Blues have been linked with a possible move for a loan move for a striker with a Championship club.
