THE Blues will be running a ladies team from next season.

The club have applied to start up in the English women’s football pyramid and are awaiting conformation of what league their new senior side will play in.

Chester FC director Mark Howell said: “Following the development of our community football section, from youth and junior football, through soccer schools, schools liaison and to our developing work in disabled football, the next step was to develop a ladies section. Our aim would be eventually to have a ladies section that has development teams from under 10s through to the senior ladies side.”

The club is accepting applications for the voluntary roles of first team manager, assistant manager and physiotherapist.

Those interested parties should email their CV to mark.howell@chesterfc.com before Friday, April 20.

The team will be separate from the existing Chester City Ladies side.

Officials from Ellesmere Port, Neston and Chester Special Olympics will be guests of Chester FC this Saturday. The organisation is helping the club set up a disabled football section.
