CLUBS in the Murray Smith Accountants Cheshire County League experienced 100 per cent success against teams from other competitions in the Jaguar House Cheshire Cup and Cheshire Shield on Sunday.
One of the most remarkable games was at New Brighton where the Liverpool Competition premier side must have been confident of victory against Hyde after they had run up 222-4 thanks to a magnificent unbeaten 155 from Paul Bryson. But Hyde were up for it and a maiden century by Rob Brierley (104) saw them home by six wickets.
The clash of the Birkenhead rivals St Mary's and Park resulted in a convincing win for the County League side, who scored 180-8, Chris Ainsworth 38, then dismissed their hosts for 129, Ainsworth 2-22.
