CHESHIRE found it hard going on the second day of their vital Minor Counties Western Division clash with Shropshire at Whitchurch.
But Andy Hall's side showed true fighting spirit as they fought back in their second innings after their opponents had taken a healthy lead following their first chance at the crease.

However, in reply, and with 38 overs remaining in the day, Hall's men battled to 140-3 at the close, thanks to a splendid knock from Alexis Twigg, who remained unbeaten on 88.
