CHESHIRE team manager Steve Amison was disappointed to lose the first ECB Under 21 championship group game against Shropshire at Nantwich, but hopes for a better result on Thursday against Derbyshire at Repton School (12 noon).
Says Steve: "We didn't bowl well enough, but there will be a better focus against Derbyshire."
It will be an uphill task for Cheshire to win their group, as Shropshire have also beaten Derbyshire, but a strong side has been selected under Cheshire's experienced Richard Hignett, one of two over-age players permitted in the side.
