JETS brought the curtain down on their regular season with back-to-back wins.
The Northgate Arena outfit recorded two victories from the weekend’s double header with London Capital and Essex Pirates, bringing their BBL Championship campaign to a close.
On Saturday, the Jets travelled to London Capital and returned victorious after a convincing display returned an 85-57 verdict.
Chez Marks led the scoring with 24 points while Jerrah Young (18) and Shawn Myers (10) also chipped in as Jets secured their play-off place.
The visitors were quick to get into their stride, winning the first quarter 16-9. They were held in check during a tight second period which ended 36-26, but managed to break away during the third and fourth quarters.
On Sunday, Jets home fans were given another treat as visiting Essex Pirates were sunk 99-62 in front of a big crowd at the Northgate.
Marks once again was Jets’ star man taking home a personal tally of 23 points while Calvin Davis weighed in with 16 of his own.
A blistering opening had the Jets after just 10 minutes and the hosts never looked back from that point and always held a double-digit lead.
Saturday’s win confirmed Jets’ inclusion in the BBL Championship play-off shake-up and Sunday’s win set up a mouth-watering quarter-final clash with local rivals Everton Tigers.
