Spent hours on phone to Qantas but alas they are experiencing an 'unusually high volume of calls' at the moment. You don't say.
Gave up at 10.30pm and went to bed planning to take to the mountains.
The Blue Mountains to be exact. Alasdair has booked us a night in an eco lodge in this World Heritage Site where the blue haze from the eucalyptus tress gives the mountains their name.
Set off in hire car and reach Leura by lunchtime. A gloriously sunny day and the views are fantastic. Take a skyride cable car across a canyon, ride the world's steepest scenic train into a rainforest, take a cable car back up the mountain and see the area's famous Three Sisters.
Can't believe that we've been away from home for nearly five weeks now.
Don't think the four of us have spent this much time in each other's company ever. Girls are starting to irritate each other in the way that only sisters can - laughing hysterically one minute and fighting the next.
Torchlight leads us to our eco cabin where the thought of a rotary compost loo fills the girls with dread!
