ABOUT 50 female staff and students at Yale College enjoyed special treatment for International Women’s Day to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.
Beauty students provided opportunities for a range of massages, and tea, cakes and fruit juice were available for visitors.
Participants took away a women-focused goodie bag, including Fairtrade chocolate and jewellery.
Pam Rigby, youth leader at Yale College, said: “We were really pleased with the attendance. The event provides a good focus on the achievement of women through history.”
