WREXHAM Football Club’s chosen charity for the 2009/2010 season is Save the Family.
Through its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the club will support the Northop-based charity.
Save the Family is the largest homeless families charity in the UK and staff work to ensure that, when a family is made homeless through no fault of their own, they are kept together and their children prevented from going into care.
Staff offer help to effectively address social problems through education and life-skills training and help families get resettled.
Wrexham FC director Paul Retout said: “We are committed to the local community and take our Corporate Social Responsibility programme very seriously.
“Save the Family is a very important charity, especially as the credit crunch is heavily affecting families across the region.”
