THE effects of climate change on the local community will be spelled out at a workshop in Winsford Civic Hall on Friday.
The workshop has been organised by the Climate Outreach and Information Network (COIN) in conjunction with the ‘SMYLE: Little Actions Big Impact’ campaign, which aims to improve local environmental quality in Vale Royal.
The course will cover many aspects of climate change from climate denial to effective engagement.
Mark Stocks, lead councillor for environmental policy, said: “We need to consider our local environment within the bigger picture. There is now overwhelming evidence that climate change is happening and that there’s a need for urgent action to limit the rate of change and the damage this is likely to cause. Everyone has a critical part to play. Organisations and individuals need to act together to tackle this problem.”
