A MAN brandishing a knife robbed a convenience store in Little Sutton on Saturday evening (October 31).

The man who was thought to be in his late teens entered the shop on Station Road holding the knife at around 7.20pm.

He demanded the female member of staff to open the till and hand over a two figure sum of money. He then ran off in the direction of Kings Road.

Police spokeswoman Jo Preihs said: “The man is described as being 5’6’’ tall, of stocky build, approximately aged 18, of pale complexion with light gingery hair. He was wearing a black hooded top, and had a black fleecy scarf to hide his mouth.”

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery, and are asking anyone who may have seen the offender before or after the incident acting suspiciously to contact Ellesmere Port pro active policing team on 01244 615573.
