ENERGETIC students and staff from West Cheshire College have joined forces with divisional police officers and staff to raise money for children’s cancer charities.

A group of 40 keen walkers, including public services students who hope to join the police or armed forces, will tackle the challenging 34-mile Sandstone Trail trek today (Wednesday), starting at Whitchurch.

Tutor and former police officer Paul Welsh said: “This will give all of us an opportunity to do something for the community while giving students a chance to develop relationships with the police to better understand some of the skills they will need in the future.”
